Fighting Singles Event Stigma - How Ditching The Assumptions Helped Us Build The Perfect Date Night
Dating events have had a pretty bad rap for a while now. If someone says to you “singles night”, chances are you’re immediately picturing a decked out community center full of desperate singles on plastic chairs waiting to see if 60 seconds is enough time to fall in love.
Well it’s 2020, and we’re ready to do something about this.
3 out of 4 singles have said they would rather meet their partner in real life, but 7 out of 10 (from the same study!) think it’s more common to meet someone online. At The Inner Circle, we asked over 2000 singles in the UK what they thought about the future of romance (check it out here), and from that we’ve put together a statistically perfect dating event, and you can be there.
62% of singles think meeting IRL is more natural, and of the options we have, the most preferred way to meet is at a party. So we made that our first step, and we’re throwing a party in central London that all singles on The Inner Circle are invited to.
When given the opportunity, 61% of people said they haven’t gone up to someone and flirted in real life because they were too nervous. So we made that step two, we’ve booked out the entire venue so everyone there will be single and ready to be flirted with.
Finally, 24% of people think the people at singles events will be weird.
